Itinerary
DAY 01 : AIRPORT / NEGOMBO
Arrive at the airport and be met by our representative
and transfer to Hotel in Negombo.
p.m. Visit Fishing Village
NEGOMBO
The fishing village of Negombo has turned out to
be a very popular Tourist Beach Resort, for its
Golden Sun kissed Beach that’s fringed with
Palm Groves. The amazing fact is that the development
of the tourist industry has had no influence to
change the originality of the quiet fishing village
or the Life style of the inhabitants.

DAY 02 : NEGOMBO / ANURADHAPURA / SIGIRIYA
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Aanuradhapura.
ANURADHAPURA – FIRST CAPITAL
The first Capital of Sri Lanka founded in the 4th
Centuary B.C. City Tour includes, visits to “Isurumuniya”,
Sacred Bo-tree, the Brazen – Palace, Ruwanweliseya,
Samadhi Statue, Abyagiriya, Moonstone Twin Ponds
and Jethwanaramaya.
Proceed to Sigiriya.

DAY 03 : SIGIRIYA / POLLONNARUWA
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Pollonnaruwa.
En route Climb the rock fortress.
SIGIRIYA
The Lion Rock Fortress of Sigiriya which contains
beautiful frescoes of heavenly maidens with flowers
and fruit baskets and a palace garden with an intricate
irrigation system - Sigiriya is called the 08th
Wonder of the World. This was the Royal Citadel
of King Kasyapa who ruled in the 5th Century A.D.
Proceed to Pollonnaruwa.
POLLONNARUWA
2nd Capital of Sri Lanka, City Tour including visits
to the Gal Vihara with its majestic rock statues
of the Buddha in standing, reclining and seated
forms, the Thuparamaya, the princes’ pond,
Lankathilaka Viharaya and the relic houses of Watadageya,
Hatadageya and the Atadageya.

DAY 04 : SIGIRIYA /DAMBULLA/ KANDY
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Kandy
En route visit the Cave Temples of Dambulla,
CAVE TEMPLE
Which contains more than 150 Statues of the Buddha.
This was where a king of the 1st Century B.C. took
refuge and latter converted them into a monastery.
SPICE GARDEN
Visit a spice garden at matale which grows spices
and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication.
Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea faring
merchants who made the long voyages to purchase
this precious merchandise.
P.m. Visit art and craft centre and Gem Bureau where
you will be shown a documentary film on how Sri
Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done.
enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of Drumming
Dancing music and fire walking.
TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC
Visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of the
Buddha. This temple, the most important one for
The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century
A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth
relic.

DAY 05 :KANDY / BOTANICAL GARDEN / KANDY
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Pinnawala.
ELEPHANT ORPHANGE
Pinnawala, Visit the Elephant Orphanage, the foster
– home of elephants of different age and size
feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating.
These have been found injured or left abandoned
in the wilderness. There are even little baby calves
born in captivity.
Next visit the Botanical Garden Peradeniya.
BOTANICAL GARDEN
Which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of
the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical
Garden during the British regime
Sight seeing of kandy including Upper Lake Drive.
Overnight at Hotel Suisse. - Kandy.
DAY 06: KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Nuwara Eliya.
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the misty city is located
over 6000 feet above sea level. The drive will be
through refreshing Tea Plantations covering the
hills like carpets and cascading waterfalls to mesmerize
you.
TEA FACTORY
Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory en route.
Sri Lanka being famous for its “Ceylon Tea”
has added cheer to many the world over for more
than a century.
Arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh
wintry atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and
the colonial air. ( Nuwara Eliya is also known as
“Little England”)
NUWARA ELIYA CITY TOUR
Drive through the little town of Nuwara Eliya observing
the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture.
Visit the busy market where the tea plantation workers
rush in and out with their days provisions. Visit
the lake Gregory built for generating power during
the British Colonial age but now a feature that
adds beauty to the city.
Overnight stay at Windsor Hotel – Nuwara Eliya.
DAY 07 :NUWARA ELIYA / COLOMBO.
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Colombo via Kithulgala.
En route visit film site of Bridge on the river
kwaii, view two water falls Devon Fall and St. Clairs
Fall.
Proceed to Colombo.
p.m. City Tour and Shopping
The City Tour will include places of Tourist interest
such as Old parliament, Bandaranaike Memorial International
Conference Hall, Buddhist Hindu Temple and Town
Hall.
Shopping
Shopping at Odel, House of Fashion, Bare foot etc.
Overnight stay at Galle Face Hotel - Colombo.
DAY 08 : COLOMBO / AIRPORT.
Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for Airport for departure.
